Three Recruiting Strategies You Can Apply Today!

One of the biggest obstacles to overcome while building my home based business was how to recruit new people. Sure, I spoke to my  family, restaurant waiters, and my broke friends who told me that these mlm pyramid scams never work. I even tried the whole 3 foot rule thing to no avail. Then, just...

Ask and You Shall Receive…Prospecting and Follow Up Tips

Howdy kids! I wanted to share this video post from one of the big network marketing trainers out there today. Anyone who is familiar with the Todd Falcone prospecting courses knows exactly what I’m talking about. This business is built by doing two things. First, massively exposing your primary opportunity and prospecting relentlessly. The second thing is following up with your prospects after you’ve gotten their interest. The key ingredient to implementing both of these strategies is to OPEN YOUR MOUTH!!!

Ask and you shall receive! I think I’ve heard this phrase somewhere before. Listen folks, if you don’t ask, you won’t get! In this video Todd shares some instances where he should have prospected, followed up, and engaged a person, but didn’t and that person ended up in his downline, or in another company. Remember, in order to earn residual income, we need to be out there recruiting and sponsoring. In order to do that you have to start talking to people. Enjoy the training video, and then go out and put these prospecting and follow up tips to good use. Make it a great day!

3 Questions To Build Belief In Network Marketing

Posted by Admin | Posted in Network Marketing | Posted on 25-04-2011

Hey everyone! Here’s a short video on how to build your belief and have massive success in network marketing. It actually comes in the form of three questions that I learned when listening to Todd Falcone on a Magnetic Sponsoring webinar recently. Todd said that in order for prospects and customers to believe you, you need to have bullet proof belief yourself. If you don’t have a high level of confidence and posture, that’s going to show through to the folks you’re presenting your venture to. Then as a result you may end up losing some sales you otherwise may have made if you built the foundational belief beforehand.

The three questions are as follows:
1. Do people in network marketing make money?
2. Do people in network marketing, specifically my company, make the amount of money I want to attract into my life?
3. Does my company provide a product or service that adds value to the market place?

Well first of all, if you’re not answering yes to all three questions, you need to do some serious soul searching, and decide if you’re in the right industry, or the right company.

Of course people make money in network marketing, mlm, direct sales, or whatever label you choose to use. Now, if there are leaders in your company making the type of cash flow that you want to achieve, then check off yes to question two. How aabout number 3? Do you think that what your company markets impacts people in a positive way? Well obviously the answer is going to be yes, because if it wasn’t you’d be looking for another company to call home.

Having belief  in yourself, and the goods and services that you market, is paramount if you expect your prospects to react positively to you presenting information about the products or business opportunity. Become like Superman…nothing can bring you down! All you have to do is believe!

The CHOICE — will you make the right one?

Listen and observe…

Many people are telling stories of corporations forcing them and their co-workers to work like slaves. Instead of a whip, they use fear of job loss. Many, NOT ALL, but MANY corporations have come to the realization that a terrified workforce is a motivated workforce.

This means that these corporations, again NOT ALL of them, can exploit their employees and force them to do the workload of two, three, or five people. They then give a motivational speech:

“We all have to make sacrifices for the company. This might mean you have to work a little later. Or maybe you need to come in on the weekends. Or maybe you need to take some of your work home with you.”

“We have to do what is best for the company.”

“We do care about you, and if you feel that these requirements are a bit too much, we will accept your resignation. After all, there are countless professionals out there with just as much work experience as you, and they are desperately seeking a job.”

“You’re one of the lucky ones. But we’re going to need you to work a bit harder, longer, and without any bonuses or pay raises. But you get to keep your job so that makes it fair, right?”

Many corporations are working their employees to death. If an employee can’t sustain the insane workload (which NO ONE can for an extended period of time), the corporation says, “Too bad, we have to let you go.”

Again, NOT ALL CORPORATIONS have adopted this “employee-enslavement” policy, but an alarming number have, and many more are beginning to; listen and observe, be aware and notice trends and patterns around you.

Maybe things will “magically” get better and corporations will stop focusing entirely on their bottom lines and start focusing on the well-being of their employees, and jobs will become blissful…

Or…it will get worse.

Based on what you are seeing and have heard, what do you think will happen?

Tai Chi Principles For Home Businesses

Posted by Admin | Posted in Network Marketing | Posted on 11-12-2010

As a martial artist for the past thirty one years, I recently realized two major parallels between martial arts training and building your network marketing team. As a practitioners of the arts, you are taught early on about the importance of mastering the basics and economy of motion. Well here are a few of those tai chi principles for home businesses for you to employ.

Let’s touch on the basics first. In any martial arts school you go to, you’re going to first learn proper footwork, stances, body posture, and how to block and strike. Well the same should apply to learning basic business techniques. How to enhance your communication skills, having the proper business posture, refining your presentation system, and how to effectively interact with people are some of the first things you will be working on. What’s the best way to learn these skills you ask? Well, by practice of course! Go talk to prospects, share your business, get some no’s, and experience failure. Get a few people to say yes, sponsor a couple of new members to your team, and earn some extra income. Only then will you be able to work on the fundamentals, and attain some success!

Now on to economy of motion! The basic jist of it is to keep your movements simple. To much jumping around just tires you out. If an opponent pushes in, you move out. If your opponent moves out, then it’s time for you to move forward. If you use the same tactics for prospecting it may serve you well. Don’t over extend and lose balance. When someone begins to throw out objections, don’t get super defensive and push back. Simply deflect the assault by asking more questions, or by utilizing the take away. Use their momentum to guide your actions. The worst case scenario is that you deem the prospect isn’t a good fit for your team and disqualify them. It’s like a dance. Sooner or later the song is over. You can either continue to dance when the next song starts, or go choose another partner.

Now whose ready to get on the floor and work out? I’ll meet you out there!

Ship Building For Home Based Businesses

I know, I know…you’re asking what do boats have to do with your network marketing business? I’m actually not talking about sea faring vessels. What I really mean when I say ship building for home based businesses are the two ships that matter the most when developing a strong team. They go hand in hand. Those two are relationships and leadership.

Let’s start first with relationships. How often do you go out to recruit new people, and you find yourself getting a little over zealous? You go into super pitch mode, and find your prospect backing up to get away from you. No, never happened to you? Maybe I’m the only one. The point is, people do business with people they feel comfortable with and trust. Take the time to get to know your prospects and business partners. It’s the bond that you develop with each other that will carry you through the struggles, and be there to celebrate the victories. I recently had a friend tell me that he wouldn’t want to be in business with friends. I find that to be such an incredibly crazy statement. I’d rather work with those who know, like, and trust me! I don’t know, maybe I’m just a bit nutty.

Now, onto leadership. It’s such a huge word that I barely know where to start, so I’ll begin with servant hood leadership. True leaders know that they are most effective when serving their team to help them become better, and obtain success. Leaders teach, not by talking but by doing. Lead by example is the phrase to live by. Being there for your team, giving them the tools they need to grow is your responsibility. I learned in the military that when a leader takes care of his troops, they will return the favor ten fold. Now, I’m not saying to run your business like boot camp. What you should do, however, is to have the discipline, focus, and work ethic you wish to see duplicated in your comrades. The bottom line is to become the leader you wish to develop in your teammates. Build these two ships properly, you’ll sail swiftly to success!

Hope, Opportunity, and The American Dream!

Posted by Admin | Posted in Network Marketing | Posted on 01-11-2010

With all of the hoopla in the news about the economic downturn, it’s easy to get wrapped up in the craziness of it all. People out of work, foreclosures, and high credit card debt. So what’s to stop us from going over the edge? What good reason do we have to get out there and keep trying to stay above water? I’ll give you three of them. Hope, opportunity, and the American Dream!

Let’s start with hope, shall we? Websters dictionary defines hope as; to cherish a desire with anticipation, to expect with confidence, trust. Trust, huh? Do you trust your employer to take care of you? Do you confidently expect that you will have a pension or 401k to take care of you into your golden years? How about desiring with anticipation for the weekend to end, so you can begin your work week and fulfill someone else’s dream? Yeah, I didn’t either! Working as the CEO of your own home based business provides you the chance to reach for your own dreams. Even though they say not to, get your hopes up! Go nuts!

How about opportunity? Opportunity is a favorable chance for progress. Are you in a dead end J-O-B with no shot at upward mobility, but you feel boxed in because they pay you just enough to feel secure? Well, first of all, security is a myth. There’s no such thing. The only way to be truly secure is to create your own opportunities. The network marketing industry isn’t the only way to do this, but it is the only way that the average person can honestly earn what they’re worth.  Sure there’s real estate investing, playing with the stock market, and currency trading, but how are those venues making out these days for professionals, let alone the normal working person. If you want to succeed, you have to pull yourself up by your bootstraps and take your own shot. This business can help you achieve those goals. Opportunity belongs to those who take hold of it!

Finally, the icing on the cake, the American Dream! Now, stick with me here. Pro wrestling fans will get where I’m going. Dusty Rhodes had the nickname “The American Dream”. His gimmick was that he was the son of a plumber who worked hard, and became the champion of the world! That’s what we’re talking about here. Having the chance to have a better life than our parents did if we want to work hard enough for it. Do you? Are you willing to submit to another person deciding whether you can realize your full potential? I know I’m not! I hope you take this opportunity to build your American Dream!

How To Become A Network Marketing Super Hero

Posted by Admin | Posted in Network Marketing, Personal Development and Leadership | Posted on 28-10-2010

So, you’re walking down the street and you hear a loud scream! Help, help, someone took my purse!! You spring into action, looking for a phone booth to make a quick costume change…..you get the picture! Well, I don’t know about you, but I don’t really have any super powers. I can’t tell you how to stop bank robbers or muggers, but what I can tell you is how to become a network marketing super hero!

Well, first and foremost, according to the super hero code, you have to be a good guy. In doing so, we have to be up front and honest with our prospects and business teammates. Always be truthful and you can’t go wrong. Lot’s of times we may be tempted to inflate our level of success. Don’t do it! It is better to be a beginner than a liar. Leave all of that stuff to the villains.

I guess super heroes have special powers, so in order to lead teams of people, we must hone ours. How do we do that? Easy, read books on personal development, listen to leadership courses on cd’s, attend business seminars, and always be present at your company’s events. Take a serious interest in developing yourself personally. Invest in developing yourself as someone people will follow. Become an expert in building relationships. This is what trust, and your future business success will be built upon. Take action, and practice what you preach.

Lastly, you need to become bullet proof. Now let’s clarify this quickly for safety sake! This is weapons free exercise. What I mean is to be immune to other peoples negative opinions and attitudes as you build your business. There will be some that tell you those things never work. Others will laugh at you. There may even be a few that not only tell you that they won’t join your business opportunity, but why you shouldn’t be doing it either. These are some of the challenges you have to expect up front. Know that it’s going to happen, chuckle, and move on.

To have success, and be a part of the home based business super friends, follow these tips. Now go get your capes!

Make a Commitment To Excellence…Commit To Success!

Posted by Admin | Posted in Network Marketing, Personal Development and Leadership | Posted on 21-10-2010

A few years ago, I was the owner/operator of a martial arts school. I remember when people would come in to enroll their kids, and how excited they would be. We would go over the first lesson, learning some basic techniques. Then they received their uniform, and man oh man how those eyes would light up! The kids would be so jacked up. Then that week they would attend their first regular classes, mixing in with all the other kids in the regular beginners class. Now, some of them took to it like ducks to water, and some not so much. All of a sudden, the realization that this may take some effort, and that there would be no black belt by the end of the month was not how they envisioned the process taking place. A few of the new students would even want to quit. Sounds crazy, right?

Well, tell me now, does any of this sound like the new folks you may have sponsored into your business? Could there be a remote possibility that it sounds like you? Hey, it happens to the best of us! One Saturday morning, I listened to one of the parents handle the scene of his young son not wanting to get on the training floor. Apparently the new car smell of karate class had worn off. Dad told his little guy that he had made a commitment, and that he needed to follow through. Then, here’s the best part, he asked junior if he knew what a commitment was. The little boy nodded yes and said, ” doing what I said I would do, long after the mood I said I’d do it had passed”. I was floored. Here was a five year old kid spouting out, and understanding what a commitment was. It was amazing, and I’ve been borrowing that phrase ever since.

As we begin new ventures, whether it’s business, a diet, or an exercise plan, we make a decision to enter into this course of action. We fully intend to carry out what we just decided to do, but sometimes the newness of it all wears off. After all the initial excitement is gone, we realize that it takes effort to achieve our goals, and we won’t be millionaires by the end of next week. We need to make a commitment to excellence, to follow through with the things we start. We must commit to success in order to reach it!

As a leader be the example to your team, by practicing this yourself, and thereby passing it on to your teammates for them to follow!

What I Learned About Leadership From Trapped Chilean Miners

Posted by Admin | Posted in Network Marketing, Personal Development and Leadership | Posted on 14-10-2010

Unless you’ve been living in a cave, the whole world has been watching the event unfold with these poor guys trapped in a collapsed mine shaft. As I saw the rescue taking place on television, a few things hit me like a ton of bricks. I immediately knew that I was grateful to be home with my family. To be safe and sound, enjoying the comforts that we sometimes take for granted. I also thought how I’d love to have these guys on my team. What an example of never giving up! The life lessons here are extremely profound. So here are a few things I learned about leadership from trapped Chilean miners.

Well, the first thing that you may have thought when you heard about the collapse was, wow, what a tragedy! I did it too. Then you heard about the rescue attempts, and how they were tapping on the drill bit to let everyone up top know that they were still alive.  Then the news reported that it would take several months to even reach them. Upon hearing this, my first thought was perseverance. Now I know none of us are underground, stuck in a cave. Do you have that attitude? To persevere no matter the situation, even when things look like they may not be going your way.

Then I thought about the word belief. Call it belief, or faith, or whatever word you want to insert. Do you have it? These workers had belief in themselves, in their team, in the rescue workers, and in the fact that they would be just fine! One of the rescued miners was quoted as saying that there weren’t 33 of them down there, there were 34. He said that God was with them. Now I don’t want to make this a religious discussion, but do you have faith in the things I just mentioned. At the very least know that it is always bigger than us. Have faith in yourself, your team, in the process of bettering yourself, and whatever higher power you look to.

The last thing I thought of was perspective. Now, if I was trapped several hundred feet under the earth, I would be tempted to be a bit on the negative side. Well not these heroes. They chose to look at it a different way. They rose above their circumstances, and took the opportunity to choose to be an inspiration to each other, and keep the group together and focused on the positive end result. Is this how you approach the development of yourself and of your team. Do you focus on the negative, or do you turn lemons into lemonade?

As you build your business, and lead your team, keep these brave men in mind. They embody the traits that great leaders possess. Not to compare a network marketing business to being trapped hundreds of feet under the ground, but it’s those qualities that will lead you down the road to success. Perseverance, belief, and your perspective…the choice is yours!
